Nomadic Waters: Brazil

Flying into Manaus I couldn’t believe the size and raw beauty of the Amazon. Our riverboat, which was my home for the next week, made its way up the Uatuma River for 4 days getting deeper and deeper into the winding jungle. The most beautiful and kind people welcomed us into their homes and gave us permission to fish their family land and private lakes. Along the river’s edge untouched shorelines reach 60+ feet into the air and bright colored macaws fly over top of your casts. The silence of the dawn is broken by the detonation of a peacock bass on my popper.
