Hunting

The boots are worn and covered in mud as we hike up the mountain an hour before sunrise. Passing the freshly trampled game trails, we continue on to where we last saw the elk bed down last night. It is here among the bears, deer, and the elk that you are immersed in nature, and that you find what you are made of. A bull fires off a bugle from the other ridge and your herd bull responds just below you. Range finder says 48 yards and you draw back, aim, and exhale.
