Landscape

Early on a humid September morning, I find myself anchoring the skiff off of Indian Key, the noseeums making me question if this will be worth it. My tripod rests on oysters as the tide slowly works its way up the legs. The thunderstorm on the horizon starts to pop with color as first light approaches. The wind slicks out just for a minute as the storm absorbs all of the nearby energy in the gulf. Shutter release.
